After all, regardless of your beliefs we all take religious freedom for granted. But the possibility that we could soon live in a world where such freedoms are put to the test will be explored in “The Case to Abolish Christianity”, a new play presented by Relevant Productions coming to your area soon!
As unthinkable as it might have been just a few years ago, The Case to Abolish Christianity is nearly ripped from world headlines of 2010. You’ll be confronted by a court and judicial process questioning the validity of the very foundations of Christianity. Watch as a prosecuting attorney tears away the very fabric of faith and what it means to believe in God.
The very week that churches around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, The Case to Abolish Christianity will put on trial and call into question every truth of the Resurrection. Whether you’re a lifelong believer, a new follower of the faith or someone with real honest doubts about what the Bible has to say about Jesus Christ. The Case to Abolish Christianity has something for everyone to think about.
The Case to Abolish Christianity was written by local playwright Steven Gregory, who has been on a three year quest to produce this most important and timely drama.
“In a very real sense our play is even more relevant today,” said Gregory of El Dorado Hills, “then when I first started to write it. Given the kind of stories and events reported in the world wide media almost on a daily basis, our courtroom drama, which is set in the future, may become a reality sooner than any of us might think.”
